FIND YOUR CONDITION
Whatever your condition is, you can trust the team at Kulp Physical Therapy to get to the bottom of your condition, and provide you an effective treatment plan.

Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV)
BPPV is the most common cause of vertigo accounting for at least 50% of cases seen. Calcium carbonate crystals become dislodged in the inner ear which causes spinning, nausea, involuntary eye contractions, and imbalance.

Vestibular Hypofunction
The balance system in your inner ear is not working properly. This is due to many causes and can cause imbalance, vertigo, blurred vision, nausea and vomiting.

Motion Sensitivity
Motion sensitivity is characterized by nausea, dizziness, and imbalance in response to motion of the visual environment

Space and Motion Discomfort
People living with vestibular disorders may experience symptoms of disorientation in busy visual environments or in situations with moving visual patterns.

Cervicogenic Dizziness
Cervicogenic dizziness is characterized by the presence of imbalance, unsteadiness, disorientation, neck pain, limited cervical range of motion (ROM), and may be accompanied by a headache

Imbalance in the Elderly
As you get older, the way you walk changes. Not having a proper stride while walking can cause you to lose your balance. Losing your balance is often followed by a range of other symptoms.

COMMON TREATMENTS
At Kulp Physical therapy, we only offer the best treatments available. Here are just some of the better treatments we offer to our patients. Contact our office at any time if you have any questions.

Canalith Repositioning
For BPPV, the patient is helped into a series of positions to use gravity to move the calcium carbonate crystals to their proper position in the inner
ear.

Oculomotor Training
Progressive eye and head motions are utilized to restore the eyes ability to fixate, follow and move from spot to spot with accuracy and control.

Habituation Exercises
Systematic exposure to movements and positions that provoke dizziness. The
aim is to normalize (habituate) the brain so that it does not feel dizzy.

Balance Retraining
Focusing on the three main systems that contribute to balance, retraining
can include challenging exercises with static and dynamic body postures.

Fall Prevention
Falls can happen for many reasons. Treatment may include patient education,
home modifications, assistive device prescription, caregiver training, balance exercises and more.
