Kulp Physical Therapy

Kulp Physical Therapy utilizes a series of hands-on treatment to reduce the inflammation and involved shoulder structure, improving strength and range of motion in the shoulder. Travell trigger point treatment to the rotator cuff muscle, associate neck and middle back musculature, and treatment to referred muscles of the upper and lower arm are key features in reducing muscle spasm, tension and ache due to shoulder disorders. Exercises that stabilize an unstable shoulder joint, stretching exercises that helped keep tight muscles loose, postural exercises that promote normal mechanics are essential for the individual to develop control of their symptoms. Joint mobilization and neural stretching may be added to improve the quality of joint movement and a sliding of neural structures in and around the shoulder. Modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, ice, heat in the home use of TENS, may be utilized to facilitate tissue healing.
